cut and paste in thunar [SOLVED]

As I am still a newbie with xfce, a (maybe silly) question.

CUT AND PASTE a file from one thunar window to another.

In that window I can not paste a file. Right mouse click does not show "paste"

I have to change to that display and do a right click on a free area and do a right click and paste.

Been too long with KDE and with dolphin file manager and paste into an "clogged up" window was always possible.

Am I missing something or is there a trick?

Not sure I if this is what you are talking about, but when a screen is completely filled with folders and files I have to click Edit > Paste as there is no real empty space to use.

Yes, that is, what I am meaning. No empty space to point the cursor to. If there is empty space, no problem with paste.

But what is that "Edit > Paste"?

Thank you. I had (somehow!) forgotten about the Paste command in the Edit menu. And I do not regularly use the "Icon View," so this was a minor annoyance.

You can always go one folder up, right-click and select Paste Into Folder.
