HDMI monitor not detected when turned back on if previously turned off

Hi everyone,

I discovered this bug today.
The issue is when you turn off the monitor (in my case a Samsung TV), XFCE doesn't seem to detect when the monitor is turned back on.
I fixed this by creating a keyboard shortcut for xrandr--auto that I found here: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11627
So when trying to resume you can at least detect the monitor by using a keyboard shortcut.
Hope this helps anyone else having this issue.

Running XFCE 4.12.2 (Linux kernel 4.8), Sonya 18.2.

Re: HDMI monitor not detected when turned back on if previously turned off

Hello and welcome.

What version of xfce4-settings is packaged with that distro?

xfsettingsd -V

I believe this bug has been fixed.

There was this commit that made it into 4.12.1 that supposedly fixed issues like these.
