Is this a bug in the panel?

I put a panel at the top of my second monitor.

Set it to intelligently hide.

Added the dictionary plugin.

In the plugin settings, turned on the text input field.

Closed the settings.

Clicked in the field, while the mouse hovered over it.

Panel went nuts.  Appearing and disappearing.

I can still type my query, even if I move my mouse out of the panel to stop the flicker.  I cannot thereafter cause the panel to show itself, until I hit the enter key or type a query and hit the enter key (I didn't focus away, or I expect I'd be stuck.)

Aloha.

PS: Arch Linux, xfce4-panel 4.12.1

Re: Is this a bug in the panel?

Confirm the results using a secondary account on your system. If it persists, then you should create a bug report. Add info about the monitor sizes, layout, drivers and connections in the bug report.
