I've been digging for a while to find out how to set the color of the part of the desktop that shows around an image that is smaller than my desktop. The image doesn't look good scaled or tiled or stretched. It needs to be the size it is, but the dark blue shade around it is not a good match.
Display: 1920x1080
Image: 1626x1080
What is the name of that setting and how do I set it?
Thanks!

Hello and welcome.
You should be able to just set the "Color" field to "Solid Color" in the Desktop Settings (where the image is selected) and then select the color you want from the adjacent color box.
Are you using version 4.12?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, this is 4.12.
I tried that, but it sets the entire desktop background to the color, removing the picture.
In this case, I have a picture that's smaller than the desktop, and I want to set the color of the rest of the desktop that's visible around the small picture. I assume this is defined in the theme, but I don't know what to look for because I don't know the name of it.

My bad.
Setting the Solid Color color worked and did not replace the picture with the solid color.
I don't know why that happened the first time when I was experimenting. Thanks for the answer!
