Does Energy Manager work properly?

I hope this place is right for the problem I have noticed.
Well, sometimes when I leave my pc on after some time, may be 30' or 1 hour, the screen become black and if I try to log in I have to reset the pc to get in.
I am using XFCE on Linux Mint 18 and I have installed the nvidia driver requested from Lightworks and Natron instead of nouveau drivers. I have tried to change setting on the energy manager, but with any solution. Can you help me?
Here are setting on the Energy Manager:

You could look at xset if you're ok with command line. Use "xset q" to check settings. Something like "xset s noblank" and/or "xset s 0 0" and/or "xset dpms 0 0 0" may correct the issue. And this needs a root terminal.
