[suggestion] MacOSx finder like panel

On OSX, Finder shows menu items from the window in focus, menu items like new window or show configuration menu.

I'd like that as a feature to XFCE

also better compositing and wayland support

Have a look at the vala panel appmenu (github source: https://github.com/rilian-la-te/vala-panel-appmenu).

also better compositing

There have been many compositing changes in the 4.13 development branch that look promising. Will be released with 4.14 unless your distro already packages the 4.13 version.

and wayland support

First the GTK3 migration and the release of 4.14.
