mouse pointer has small little grey box after standby

Hello

I have an Acer-Notebook with Linux Mint 17.1. Rebecca Xfce and kernel 4.4.0.109
Graphic is AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics. graphic driver is the "suggested" xserver-xorg-video-ati.

After beeing in standby, my mouse pointer has a small little grey box (2x1 cm) under it, which can't be removed any more. This happens ALWAYS after standby.
Sometimes it works to log off and on again, but there were cases in which that also didn't help. The only solution that works is a restart.

I also tried the proprietary flgrx-driver of AMD. There wasn't this box, but the screen freezes completely from time to time, so I deinstalled it again.

Do you have any idea how to get rid of this annoying box?
I'm also interested in any trick to let the box disappear in a "faster way" then logout/login.

Thanks!
