Disable screensavers systemwide

Hi,

Some of the screensavers that are present in XFCE (Ubuntu 16.04) take up quite a lot of resources...

Is it possible to somehow disable ALL screensavers systemwide, or beter, is it possible to force all screensavers systemwide to just display a blank screen?

Any help is appreciated!

Re: Disable screensavers systemwide

Xfce does not have a screensaver application, so this question really belongs to your distro. I see a *zillion* hits with a web search on "ubuntu 16.04 disable screensavers" and I imagine one of the top hits will do the job for you.

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

I believe you can just remove the xscreensaver package. You can then use the power manager to set the blank screen. You could remove the power manager also, and just use xset. My main machine has neither package on Debian. Another has only the power manager.
