Hello i am sorry to interrupt this forum which i did not have read but please take a look at this problem.
when i go to Settings/Display in XFCE.
I have the following resolutions on both monitors mirrored:
Laptop Resolution 1280x800
Monitor Resolution 1280x1024 (native for that Eizo)
The problem is that on the Laptop i get the bottom of the screen cut plus it is not
the Laptops native resolution.
Then when i try to change the resolution to the Laptop's native 1600x900 the screen on Monitor stais unchanged and i get the ni
ece wide 1600 resolution for the Monitor but all the programs like Firefox etc. are cut on the Monitor to the previous screen width 800 and i see a grey rectangle on the right side. it is 10 cm wide and for me it is a wasted space on a monitor.
Please let me know if you have seen such a thing.

No interruption, that's what we're here for!
Some days have passed, did you fix your problem?
If not, have you seen this Stack Exchange link?: Mirror dual monitors with different resolutions.

hi alcornoqui. i did not fix the issue yet but in the meantime i moved and i still did not plugin the external monitor. i can give the xrandr commands a chance just to troubleshoot it but i hoped xfce display settings would be enough.

What version of xfce-settings are you using? I think there's been several bugfixes lately: https://bluesabre.org/2018/04/21/xfce-s … -released/
