XFCE 4.12.1 on Fedora 28 is missing the nm applet. What's up with that?

nm applet isn't part of Xfce so really it is better to ask Fedora. However I installed Fedora 28 today and the applet was there for me. Do you have a working network card?

Hmmm .. I could have sworn that I got it from xfce. I'll look elsewhere. Thanks for the info.

Does Fedora offer an Xfce Extras package perhaps? That's how it is on Manjaro, so if you do a minimal install, you won't get it.

In my f28 xfce installation i have nm applet, maybe uninstalling something you have uninstalled it as a dependency (ex.ModemManager-glib), but nothing easier than installing it from the fedora repository (if it is not installed).

Thanks for the reply. As it happens, I discovered that it was installed, but that it dies with no messages when started. Getting the source ...
