Just wondering - given Gnome's recent move to Gitlab is there any appetite to do something similar for XFCE?
Having source located on Gitlab / Github, setting up CI, and using their integrated bug tracking tools makes is more welcoming for others to others who want to contribute code.
Also moving from IRC + Forum to Slack + Reddit + Stackoverflow would have similar benefits.

Yes, there have been discussions. Have a read through these two links:
- Infrastructure Upgrades/Changes: Git(ea)
If you want to follow up on this, it might be best to post directly to the #xfce4-dev mailing list.
