cpu overload when entering /home/user/.icons folder

Hello, this is my first post here. I would like to comment that when entering the /home/user/.icons folder the cpu goes from 2% to 80%. I suppose that some task is executed, but from taskmanager and top only the Thunar process appears to me. You could indicate to me how to locate the process that suddenly requires so many resources, or if it is possible why it does it?.

The folder .icons is empty and I am using Debian 9 with Xfce 4.12.

Thanks

Re: cpu overload when entering /home/user/.icons folder

Hello and welcome.

Is the folder empty of hidden files as well? In a terminal window, run:

ls -al ~/.icons

Also, was there a delay running that command.

Can you create a delete a file in that directory? Do it from the command line so you can see if any errors emerge.
