Gimp Thumbnails changed to landscape on xubuntu

Strange problem.

Using Gimp 2.10.4 on xubuntu 18.04.  When one exports a .jpg image the thumbnail is changed from portrait to landscape on the desktop.  Tried this on Ubuntu 18.04 and the problem does not exist.  Two xubuntu machines and problem is same on both.

Re: Gimp Thumbnails changed to landscape on xubuntu

Interesting. On Xubuntu 18.04, gimp 2.8 is standard, so you must of upgraded to 2.10. I do have 2.10 on my Arch system and I see the same behaviour. However, if during the export, you uncheck "save thumbnail" from the "Advanced Options" section of the export dialog, it will work fine.

This appears to be a gimp issue/feature.
