XFCE Lock Not Working

Hi,
I am using xfce4 on Debian, with gdm. Initially, I had gnome (which I still have), but I installed xfce.
Right now, when I lock xfce, the screen turns black, but the power button is still lit, meaning that the computer is on. When I try pressing buttons, nothing happens, so I have to login to another tty, then

sudo killall Xorg

to allow me to login to xfce.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: XFCE Lock Not Working

Hello and welcome.

Which screen locker/saver program are you using?

The underlying issue with gdm might be this -- https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comm … _solution/

Possibly either try installing xscreensaver to use as a locker, or another display manager such as lightdm rather than gdm?
