I want to change my critical power to 50% but Xfce Power Manager will not let it go beyond 20%.How can I do this?

Hello and welcome.
Unfortunately it's hard-coded to 20. Is there a reason why you want the critical value so high? Perhaps you could create a bug report asking the developer to allow values up to 50 from the front-end.

Hello and welcome, YakYak, hi ToZ!
I have a faulty laptop which could use a warning on 30% battery...
There's this detailed feature request, which asks for more than that. It would be great if it got some attention!
