I haven't heard anything about any way to set the file colors for thunar, so I thought I would go ahead and take the next step - do it myself. I'm finding myself stuck getting started because I can't find much documentation. There are plenty of broken links and a few helpful leads, but I'm not finding anything that would be super helpful.
Can anyone point me in a good direction for documentation on creating a plugin for thunar?
Is this even a reasonable thing to do?

The documentation is built-in to thunar (if your distro built thunar with the "--enable-gtk-doc" paramater). Have a look on your system in most likely /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/thunarx.

Well, the debian repositories for SolydXK doesn't seem to have been built with that. Are these html help documents the same ones that are available on the web page?
