4.14 is about 85% complete. See: https://wiki.xfce.org/releng/4.14/roadmap. Progress is slow and steady. There are a few core developers who volunteer their time. Many distros are already using production-ready components in their offerings.

Good new. XFCE to me is by far the best option for a workstation used for non-gaming/play. I loogged to get the answer to this question.  Been online developing and admin-ing for many decades. Having used XFCE  for maybe 10 years, I've found nothing, for me, that's even close to performance and function. Good job guys and Happy holidays. 

After all this time, I've one thing to wish for: Allow the view (icon, details, list) to be retained for each Desktop Folder icon. Wish I could think of something more unique but that's it smile
