Re: How to move a panel plugin ...

You can't really. Not easily.

If you don't want the iBus icon showing up, right-click it, select preferences and uncheck the "Show icon on system tray" option.

If you want to hide it, open up the Notification Tray settings (right click the Panel and select Panel>Panel Preferences, go to the Items tab and double-click the Notification Area plugin) and check the "Hidden" box next to the ibus entry. This will create an arrow in the Notification Area and the icon will be hidden until you click the arrow.

If you don't need ibus and don't want the icon showing up at all, kill the ibus-daemon program.

If you want to move the Notification Area, you'll need to move it using the dialog.
