Help with browser download "Show in folder" action

There is an annoyance that you guys must have already solved, but it is hard to look for such thing.
What is happening is that after a download finishes in any browser, be-it Chrome or Firefox, the action of "show file in folder", opens Thunar, but the file is not selected, so if the download directory is very big, it is very hard to lookup for the file, it requires additional actions.

Is there a way to make "Show file in folder", really select and scroll to the file that was just downloaded ?

Re: Help with browser download "Show in folder" action

The functionality was just added the other day and will be available in Thunar 1.8.4. What version are you running and which distro?

Re: Help with browser download "Show in folder" action

Firefox can set the file to it's original date if it gets that info.  i've had it happen many times.  so a narrow window of time can determine if you need to search some other way.  what i have done is download into a Downloads directory i keep clean (move stuff out of there once i decide to keep it) or use a script i have that takes care of it for me.  for github i cd to where i want it and do svn export.
