Hi,
I observed a strange behavior in Thunderbird if XFCE is used as desktop: The "tabs" have no visual borders. If another desktop is used on the same machine, tabs work just fine.
a) can someone reproduce this?
b) what can be done about it?
c) who is to blame, how can we fix it?
I already have opened a discussion at Thunderbird itself, but got no useful answer yet. But that post includes some images of this issue:
https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/broken- … b-60/34647
Edit: In that discourse entry I assume it is a general Linux issue, but I got feedback from other users, that it happens with XFCE but not with other desktops.
Thanks,
John

Hello and welcome.
It looks like the tab borders are the same colour as the GTK Appearance theme background.
Here is an issue report with the Greybird theme on this problem, with developer comments and a user-submitted userChrome.css snippet that fixes it.
