how to shut screensaver OFF
how can i shut the screensaver completely OFF? i don't need it anywhere, so uninstalling it might be one way.
i have been setting it to 12 hours, the most it will go, but even that is causing problems.

That depends which screensaver you have but it can be uninstalled. Many distros don't even include one anymore. I haven't had one installed for years.
If you still want locking and use LightDM you can install Light-Locker.

i finally found the OFF in the mode setting. that now makes sense. i need to get more accustomed to where things might be in a GUI.
