How to run a wallet-qt that is not executable?

Hi,

*noob alert

I use remotely a vps through vnc viewer

Ubuntu 16.04 with xfce (by this sudo apt install xfce4 xfce4-goodies tightvncserver)

SoI have a desktop enviroment. The answer is, I have downloaded a crypto wallet linux version and I cannot run it because it is not executable. How can I make it executable? Do I need to install something more?

Re: How to run a wallet-qt that is not executable?

In the Thunar file manager, right-click the file, open the Properties window, and in the Permissions tab check the option (Programs) that says "Allow this file to run as a program".

For convenience, then, you can make a desktop file and/or use the program through the usual menus and app launchers.
