Apply different styles to Thunar sidebar categories and items

I'm trying to customize a GTK theme for the first time and would like the Thunar sidebar category names to have a different color than the actual items. The GTK inspector tool does not seem capable of getting that fine-grained level of detail on the sidepane. It gives the selector of ...sidebar.frame.shortcuts-pane treeview:backdrop...

By adding .sidebar treeview:backdrop { color: #mycolor } I can change the color of both the category names and the item labels, but I can't find any way to separate the two. Is it hopeless?

Hello and welcome.

I've had a look at it and can't seem to find a way to get at that widget.
