Error when i copy a file from anywhere to desktop.

ERROR MESSAGE:

The file transfer could not be performed
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Can you give us more information?
   - which distro are you using?
   - which version of Xfce?
   - which version of xfdesktop ("xfdesktop -V" should tell you)
   - how do start Xfce? Do you use a display manager (if so which one) or do you start it manually (in which case can we see your start up script)?

Also, can you post back the results of the following:

env | grep DBUS

ps -ef | grep xfdesktop

And finally, is there any information in your log files? Look at ~/.xsession-errors if your distro creates one and post back the contents.
