Desktop disappeared after mesa update

A mesa update was rolled out today for mint. I updated my main pc running the cinnamon desktop with no issue, but after updating my notebook running xfce (and rebooting) the entire desktop is gone, I only see a wallpaper. I tried moving the ../.config/xfce4 folder but that did not solve the issue. When I try to run xfwm or xfwm --replace i get this error:

Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Desktop disappeared after mesa update

Thanks for the reply, woke up this morning to see a fix pushed by the Mint team (a downgrade), so problem solved I guess.
