Hi
XFCE on manjaro, I have a single panel and I have added what I want on there, including separators to space stuff out. I also have window buttons, which is where my problem is.
How it seems to work: When I open a window (and also when the window buttons module get populated beyond row-height) the window button section expands, thus affecting the positioning of every other non-at-the-edge icon on the panel.
How I want it to work: The window buttons section of the panel is always at maximum size (the space I have allocated through separators).
Alternatively: A way to lock the rest of the panel so that no icons move around even if the window buttons section expands.
I'm sure that I'm making some super simple mistake, but as this is only my third go on a linux distro and first time on xfce and manjaro I would appreciate any help.

Right-click on the separator, open 'properties' and check it to 'expand'.
