How to Add Volume Control to Notification Area

I am using Debian Buster with Xfce 4.12.  How does one add the volume control applet to the notification area?

In the panel - add new items look for Pulseaudio Plugin. If you don't have it you will need to install xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin (or similar name)

Please note; not to the panel but to the notification area.  However, your idea does allow an icon for it to be placed right next to the notification area, making it almost the same thing.

Thanks.

Re: How to Add Volume Control to Notification Area

I'm using pasystray on Buster with 4.14pre2, and I like it very much. It functions well and is nice and discreet inside the NA. I tried the plugin but size scaling is screwed up, at least here, and changing the css didn't help for very long.

The only negative side is that the micromedia keys don't work with it, but we are actually looking at solving that for MX-19.

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

Thanks, Jerry.  Very nice indeed.  Sure has lots of features.  I started it and will give it a go.
