Hardware acceleration in chromium makes it extremely slow

Hi,

I'm brand new to xfce and thought I would give 4.14 a try. I like the lightweightness and the simple feel!

One major issue I'm having is the chromium-browser. When hardware acceleration is enabled, it is extremely slow in all parts of interaction. It works "well" with hardware acceleration turned off - but needless to say this brings down the performance drastically.

I'm not sure where to start to debug this, can anyone give me any pointers?
