Hi there,
I would like to delete the PukseAudio plugin from the panel: I know how to do it but if I remove it, the volume up / down alerts no longer appear even when I press the volume keys on the keyboard.
Is there a way to delete the plugin from the panel and keep the notifications up? thank you

Try installing and running xfce4-volumed-pulse. It should provide you with the notifications.

Which distro and version are you using? It should be in your distro's repositories.

Xubuntu 19.04. I've searched for "xfce4-volumed-pulse" in Synaptic but nothing found

ubuntu seems to have a package for xfce4-volumed. Try that one - maybe its just called by a different name.

found... Installed but it isn't available in Panel > Add New Objects

It runs as a daemon - no gui. Either log out and back in again, or start it in a terminal window to test it. It will run in the background.
