Another DEBIAN feature?

DEBIAN Buster (and Testing)

vOIrBrVl.png

Lower right corner. Trash icon in panel. I do a left mouse click on the trash and the thunar window with trash contents shows up.

Doing now a right mouse click on empty lower space in that window - nothing. Go over with the mouse and click in that thunar icon of my home folder entry. Home folder contents show up. Right mouse click on empty lower space in that window - again nothing. Strange??

In Linux Mint 19.2

Doing the same ....

Right click in trash window that sub windows appears.

Now to my home folder in same window, right click on empty space and 'as expected' sub window with commands .....

Can someone here confirm that? Is that a DEBIAN feature or could this be a bug?

Re: Another DEBIAN feature?

On Linux with Debian Buster and Xfce 4.14:

1) a right click in the left panel gives menu with Devices, Places and Network.
2) a right click in the main panel gives something similar to yours

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

Re: Another DEBIAN feature?

I think, the issue here is with the panel icon 'trash'.
Activating the the trash icon on the desktop and doing the same, thunar behaves as expected.
