I am new to Xfce and I like tiny.
But I need Office. I am using MS Office at work and LibreOffice at home sometimes.
I can't install Libreoffice because a lot of dependencies missing
My question wold be.
Do I have something else in Xfce. All I need is Word & Excel substitution for Xfce, LibreOffice or something else.
Please comment

If you install "Synaptic Package manager," you can also find the dependencies required. The package manager "Gdebi" is good for this, as well.
sudo apt-get install synaptic
Once you have synaptic, you can select it from the applications menu under "System" - you must enter your user password to open it since it will require root privileges.
In synaptic, click Search from the top toolbar and search for LibreOffice Write and LibreOffice Presentation.
A list of packages will appear. Go Only To The Package named LibreOffice Write or Presentation and right click on that package and select "mark for Installation."
A pop up will notify you of the dependencies needed that it will also install. Select if you agree in order to install LibreOffice.
IF you want, you may select just "LibreOffice" and download the base package in whole as it will not bog you down or slow your system any to have the rest of LibreOffice and they may came in useful to have later, anyway.
Hope this helps.

I am using synaptic manager more then 10 year now and is the best manager for every day user like me. But in Xfce i have trouble, because it looks like circular references (dependencies) have been made. If I choose libreoffice metapackage, it turns red (dependencies missing) but I get no warning and all others give me dependencies to each other and a lot of other dependencies, so I cannot mark it.
Example libreoffice writer
Depends: libabw-0.1-1 but it is not installable
Depends: libe-book-0.1-1 but it is not installable
Depends: libepubgen-0.1-1 but it is not installable
Depends: libetonyek-0.1-1 but it is not installable
Depends: liblangtag1 (>=0.4.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libmwaw-0.3-3 but it is not installable
Depends: libodfgen-0.1-1 but it is not installable
Depends: librevenge-0.0-0 but it is not installable
Depends: libstaroffice-0.0-0 but it is not installable
Depends: libwpd-0.10-10 but it is not installable
Depends: libwpg-0.3-3 but it is not installable
Depends: libwps-0.4-4 but it is not installable
Depends: ure but it is not going to be installed

Abiword might work. Try it out on a live usb...I find Debian KDE on a live USB easiest to install and try packages (I do NOT like KDE for anything else!).
I was not impressed by Abiword, but you might find it okay.
LibreOffice is difficult to remove safely if you don't like it. It has many dependencies and the way packages are described/defined makes it difficult to know what will break your system if it is removed.
So, try both Abiword and LibreOffice on a live usb that is 3.0 and in a 3.0 port - on a decent quality flash drive.
LibreOffice Draw can be used to both view and edit .pdf files, so can be useful for office work.

one or two ore thoughts:
Nextcloud allows you access to OpneOffice, so if you are 100% sure that you will always have a great internet connection, maybe you can use that.
Also, if you always have ifast internet, using yandex drive and email (both free), you also get to use Microsoft Office for free - Yandex's older version of it, I think. I've used it several times over a year ago.
