Hi,
On arch up to date with any icons themes the folder /usr/share/icons/themename/sizexsize/places is blurry ! I can't understand why... I have deleted/updated the icons cashes and deleted ~/.cache/thumbnails without succes.
But if I open the same directory from an other theme the folder /places is not blurry !
Any help would be nice.
Thanks.

Is this with one specific theme? If so, which one?
If you are viewing them with Thunar, which view are you using? Icons, detailed or compact? Is the issue present in all 3 view modes?
But if I open the same directory from an other theme the folder /places is not blurry !
Another appearance theme or icon theme? Exactly which themes are involved.
Maybe some screenshots would be helpful to see the issue.

No it's not specific to a theme, Adwaita, Hydroxygen show the same behavior but one theme has not that problem, it's Korla and it's the only theme that doesn't have any .png but only .svg !
I'm using the icons view in thunar but it it's same in detailed and compact view but only after a certain amount of zooming. Sounds like somethings with the zoom ? I have libsvg inatlled...
Here some screenshots :
Hydroxygen :
Adwaita :
And Korla :
Edit : Another observation is that the smaller are the icons size the more blurry it is, exemple of /usr/share/icons/hydroxygen/16x16/ :
Edit 2 : If hydroxygen theme is the selected theme and in thunar I'm going to /usr/share/icons/HighContrast/48x48/ the folder /places looks not from hydroxygen theme but from HighContrast :
Really strange..!

Have you or your distro enabled tumbler's Customized Thumbnailer for Folders functionality? If so, the "folder.png" file in the folder will override the default folder icon.

Thanks a lot ToZ !
Yes I have (not the distro) the customized thumbnailer enabled for text-based documents & for folders (music covers) .
Is there any way to keep the default folder untouched ? Why it's only the /places folder that is affected by that ?

As per the icon spec, only the places folder has a "folder.png" file.

The script that is used by the thumbnailer looks for the following 4 files to use as a thumbnail (folder.jpg, .folder.jpg, folder.png, and cover.png). You can remove the "folder.png" file from that list and it won't thumbnail it. However, it won't use folder.png for any thumbnailing then.

Thanks ToZ for the explanation, now I understand...
In fact I use the script mainly to generate the music covers, the ordinary folders are anyway generated by tumbler without any script, isn't ? I'm gonna try and post the result.
Removing the folder.png from the script works perfectly, the music covers are still generated without messing up the /usr/share/icons/theme/sizexsize/places folders.
