Hello. I'm Benyamin. I'm an XFCE Enthusiast from Surabaya, Indonesia. This's maybe 8 years of me using XFCE on multiple linux distribution. First time I know XFCE from Xubuntu on 2011 but then I jump from Xubuntu to CentOS in 2019 and here I'm, still using XFCE on CentOS 7.7 on my thinkpad x240, an acient thinkpad. With XFCE running, I could code for about 10 hours on 6 cells battery (rear battery and internal battery), and 20 hours with 9 cell battery. It's awesome where as if I use GNOME, my thinkpad will only stand for 10 hours for 9 cells and 3-4 hours with GNOME Desktop.
I use TLP and Powertop on day to day while working on linux OS. Thanks for bringing XFCE to an extends it's very lean and powerful on day to day task I hope there's LTS 10 years of XFCE from CENTOS, but seems they only work on fedora spin with typical only 1 years.

Once you go XFCE, you never go back.
