File Symbol how to set?

Hello,

as I had posted 1 year ago here now I have the same problem: all thumnail are show for what they represent, so I see small video, small picture and so on as I see small pdf file, while normally I would like to see just symbol for those files and for what they represent. I will try the procedure suggested by Toz, but nothing change. I am using Linux Mint 19.2 with Thunar 1.6.15 (Xfce 4.12).
Are there any other way to have just symbol on the file?

Thanks

Re: File Symbol how to set?

I assume you want to stop seeing ALL thumbnails? In Thunar, click on Edit > Preferences and change Show thumbnails from Always to Never.

Hope I understood correctly.

Re: File Symbol how to set?

Well, if this is the solution what can I say? Good and thank you. But from your support born a question: would I have had the same result without to change how Toz have suggested?
Anyway, thanks!

Re: File Symbol how to set?

ToZ's directions were to help change a specific thumbnailer (pdf's only) What I posted above will disable all thumbnailers, without needing to follow what ToZ suggested.

I should point out I did not test this. It just seemed to make sense. And it's slightly possible a log out/in may be necessary for the change to take effect.
