Thunar: Can I "left-click to rename"?

I recently installed thunar & xfwm.
To rename a file in thunar I have to right-click, then select "Rename..." (or "Properties..."), then the dialog box comes up.
Can I make it so I just left-click on the filename, then it gets hilighted and the name is editable?

thx

Currently no. That functionality doesn't exist. I thought there was an existing enhancement request to add this functionality, but I can't find it.

If you have selected 'single click to activate items' in preferences you can hover the mouse over the file until it is selected and then press F2. Not a good alternative but it works.
