Running any application needs DVD turning in drive.

I'm absolutely new to XFCE. I intend to change to some Linux after Windows 7 ends its support, soon.

I installed Xubuntu 18.04.3 from an ISO file I downloaded and burned to a DVD, under Win7 on another PC
So far, installation worked out right, I got the FXCE desktop.

Now it is very annoying that the disk must mantain in the disk-drive, for every operation. If I remove the DVD, the system craches.

What went wrong? How can I repair it?

This doesn't sound like a Xfce issue but a Xubuntu one so you might get a better answer on their forum but my guess would be that the installation has been completed.
