Wanting a slideshow I found recommendations for Eye of Gnome and Eye of MATE, Which is better suited to (Mint 19.2) XFCE ?
This sort of choice often arises, I'd like guidance.

The equivalent Xfce program would be Ristretto:
Slideshow
To run a slideshow of all the opened images, all you need to do is press the Play button. This can be found on the Toolbar and the View menu.
The duration of the timeout before the next image is shown can be configured inside the Preferences dialog, by default it is set to 5 seconds.
I'm not sure if it comes installed in Mint Xfce, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Eye of Gnome and Eye of MATE, or many others, as the great Nomacs, can of course be installed without any problem, and come with very little dependencies. Just use the one you like best!
