We released a fluxbox "overlay" to MX and its Xfce4 a couple of days ago:

It had been a pet project of mine on which I spent way too much time. In addition to just plain liking fluxbox (especially on a laptop) for its speed and elegance, I think it may make MX more accessible to users with lower-end hardware who sometimes run into problems (freezing, mostly) after logging in.
Except for a dedicated function key that calls up MX Tools, I think it should work well on any Debian-based distro, and would love to hear success or failure reports from anyone who gives it a look.
