Panel popups missing.

I notice in XFCE 4.14 there are no longer popup dialog boxes. For example, if I would hover the mouse cursor over the weather app in the panel a dialog box would appear over it in the past with XFCE 4.12 but I don't see it anymore with XFCE 4.14. I searched in settings but I couldn't find anything that would enable hovering to show dialog boxes. How can I get the dialog boxes to show up?

I recall reading somewhere that if Gtk's cursor theme size was set to 0, then tooltips wouldn't display. You can check it at Settings Manager > Mouse and Touchpad > Theme tab. The default should be 16.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I had it set to 42 so I could see it. If I lower it to 38 or lower the dialog boxes appear but the mouse cursor goes so tiny that makes it hard to see. Is there anyway to fix it so it works with the larger cursor size?

I can verify the same issue as you are seeing, 42 seems to be the maximum size that can still display tooltips. Probably some sort of GTK3 limitation. (Just checked on a Solus install and it has the same limitation).

Which cursor theme do you use? Have you tried other cursor themes?

BMZ white. I tried other cursors themes and the same thing happens.
