xfce-terminal scrolling shift UP/Down [SOLVED]

Hello.
How to make the часу4-terminal scroll the output history line by line with the shift+up/down keys?

Hello and welcome to the forum, we're a nice bunch!

What about Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down? Tried it right now in xfce4-terminal 0.8.7.4 and it works.

That is odd... Before I posted that, I tested it on two different computers, three different distros: Zorin, Emmabuntus and MX.
Yes, I have learned the hard way to test my suggestions before I make them, sadly.

I just tested Alcornoqui's suggestion and it worked for me, as well.

Re: xfce-terminal scrolling shift UP/Down [SOLVED]

Many thanks for the help. And where is it configured? How can I change it?

Re: xfce-terminal scrolling shift UP/Down [SOLVED]

Look in the App menu, Settings, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts Tab. From there, you can add, edit or remove the existing shortcuts on your system.

Re: xfce-terminal scrolling shift UP/Down [SOLVED]

Aravisian, I'm afraid that's not correct. Xfce manages shortcuts to launch applications and scripts, and to perform window operations.

In the case of any individual app's keyboard shortcuts, each app manages them; for example, per the Terminal Emulator docs:

Keyboard shortcuts can be configured by editing your ~/.config/xfce4/terminal/accels.scm file.

(edited for clarity, I'm learning as I write, thanks!)

Thanks for the correction. I had no idea that individual applications manage shortcuts. I thought that was a system thing, only.

Re: xfce-terminal scrolling shift UP/Down [SOLVED]

Thanks again for the help. I reviewed the entire system in search of the possibility of changing this combination. The accels.scm file does not contain it.

Victory!
Maybe someone will come in handy!
need to change file ~/.config/xfce4/terminal/terminalrc

change string MiscUseShiftArrowsToScroll=FALSE -> MiscUseShiftArrowsToScroll=TRUE
and restart terminal

Thank you all for participating.
