WSL xfce web browser failed

hi Guys,

First I want to say Hello.  Now the issues that I am having is that when I log into my XFCE desktop under WSL and try to launch the web browser, it does not work.  It complains "Failed to execute default Web Browser.  Input/Output error"

i've tried and installed firefox/chromium and they all give the same errors.

I can access the web via links so I'm not sure what is going on or how to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.
