Hi everyone,
First of all I apologize for my english;
I have a problem with this specific computer: Lenovo Y520-15IKBM which has two graphics cards (intel 630 and Nvidia GTX1060 Max Q Design). On Ubuntu the HDMI is detected and works (I'v tried Manjaro, Classic Debian, Mint, Arch Linux... But I prefer Debian MX ;D!).
The question is... Why it is not working?

Thank you for helping me,
I really don't understand why I don't have at least "HDMI disconnected" in the xrandr ...

Hello and welcome.
Unfortunately, this isn't really an Xfce issue. If the system doesn't recognize an HDMI port, there is nothing that Xfce can do about it. Searching google yields a disturbing number of hits for Lenovo Y520 and HDMI recognition problems. I also found this thread on the mint forums that discusses a similar problem with similar hardware with a solution.
Please remember to mark your thread [SOLVED] to make it easier for others to find

Maybe it's simply a missing driver?
Device-2: NVIDIA GP106M [GeForce GTX 1060] driver: N/A bus ID: 01:00.0
I don't know how MX deals with that. I would think at least the nouveau driver should have loaded normally. Is there some sort of Driver Manager you can check?

On the Zorin Forum, this question has been asked about a Lenovo notebook with Nvidia, as well and we have had zero luck in resolving it.
I recall that not long ago, Torvalds had an anti-Nvidia rant, complaining that they were a PITA to deal with. Maybe no relation...

We have had a number of reported problems with that chip, and the only thing that has solved them so far is to use MX Package Installer to get the 5.4 kernel.
MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

Hmmm... A user tried 5.4 kernel on the other forum to no avail. Perhaps he did not quite do it right- he is a newer user.
Ukuu should be able to accomplish the same task, as well.
