Dear All,
Please help find the culprit. Since the upgrade to version 4.14 I have most of the themes broken - displaying black window title bars and borders, even on default themes. Example screenshot:
The behavior is identical on most of the themes, except that some themes, like Alternate, B5, Beastie, Biz, Default-4.0, -4.2 (but not 4.4, 4.6 or 4.8!) are displayed correctly.
If this is of relevance, I'm running FreeBSD 12.1. Tried with compositing manager and without - no difference.
Would appreciate any help.

Do you have any content in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 or ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css or ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini?
Are you using the xfwm4 compositor or something like compton?
Which video card and driver are you using?

No ~/.gtkrc-2.0. In ~/.config/gtk-2.0 there is gtkfilechooser.ini and in gtk-3.0 there is bookmarks file. There is no settings.ini. But, not sure if this is relevant, there is this portion in /~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xsettings.xml:
<property name="Gtk" type="empty">
<property name="CanChangeAccels" type="bool" value="false"/>
<property name="ColorPalette" type="string" value="black:white:gray50:red:purple:blue:light blue:green:yellow:orange:lavender:brown:goldenrod4:dodger blue:pink:light green:gray10:gray30:gray75:gray90"/>
<property name="FontName" type="string" value="DejaVu Math TeX Gyre 9"/>
<property name="MonospaceFontName" type="string" value="Monospace 8.5"/>
<property name="IconSizes" type="string" value=""/>
<property name="KeyThemeName" type="string" value=""/>
<property name="ToolbarStyle" type="string" value="text"/>
<property name="ToolbarIconSize" type="int" value="3"/>
<property name="MenuImages" type="bool" value="true"/>
<property name="ButtonImages" type="bool" value="false"/>
<property name="MenuBarAccel" type="string" value="F10"/>
<property name="CursorThemeName" type="string" value="Adwaita"/>
<property name="CursorThemeSize" type="int" value="20"/>
<property name="DecorationLayout" type="string" value="close,minimize,maximize:"/>
<property name="IMPreeditStyle" type="string" value=""/>
<property name="IMStatusStyle" type="string" value=""/>
<property name="IMModule" type="string" value=""/>
</property>
I use xfwm4 compositor. If I disable it, nothing changes, still getting those black bars. No compton.
Video card is Intel® HD Graphics 520. Using FreeBSD's drm-kmod drivers.

Hmmm. This is weird. I'm leaving towards a video driver issue. If you choose another theme and come back to Mofit, do the black borders and title bar remain the same (or does it change so other borders are affected)?

Yes, if I choose another theme and return to Mofit then the title bar and the borders are still corrupt. Some themes work without any issues. No other graphics glitches, really. Some themes work without any issues at all, which is really puzzling.

It really is puzzling. I'm not sure what to suggest. You could try creating a bug report to see if the developer might have some thoughts.
