Now that the latest Xubuntu is base off the Gnome 3.36 desktop, the QT5CT app to longer works to set QT app themes to the same as GTK. (or should I say it does but the app takes forever to load)
Is there a workaround for this to get a uniform theme between GTK & QT apps?

In settings>>session and startup>>advanced
Have you checked the boxes to start KDE and Gnome services? Does it help?

Hi erie. Yes I tried that. No change.

Have you tried to remove/rename qt5ct.conf, then log out/log in?
I seem to recall it worked for me in a similar situation.

This article should be helpful both for 18.04 and 20.04.

Make sure your chosen theme supports GTK2!

Hi File Manager.
That used to work in 18.04, but now in 20.04 you can still apply it but any QT app then takes about 30 seconds to open. So the choice seems to be either accept no integration or apply it and wait an age for your QT apps to open. Unless of course there is some other way.
@alcornoqui. That file doesn't exist on my system.
