I had a problem with the custom Xanmod kernel and uninstalled it, so I had to reinstall Xorg server, video drivers and LightDM. After all this, I was able to access my desktop with the standard system kernel.
But, out of nowhere, the interface language changed from Brazilian Portuguese to European Portuguese. I don't know how or why. I've tried to change this back in several ways, but not succeeded. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful.
I'm using Xubuntu 20.04.
BTW, here's the locale command output:
lucas@desktop:~$ locale
LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=pt_BR
LC_CTYPE="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="pt_BR.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=pt_BR.UTF-8

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
This should straighten it out.

Already done that, a bunch of times! lol
I realized that the system is showing parts in European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, like they had been mixed somehow. I'll post a screenshot for an example later.
EDIT.
Ok, here's the funny thing.
In menu, "Session and Startup" is translated do pt_BR "Sessão e inicialização".
But in the application window title, it's translated to pt_PT "Sessão e arranque"?!

Other example of mixed languages.
In menu, the screenshot tool is translated to pt_BR "Captura de tela".
But in the application window, everything it's in pt_PT.

Do you have both language packs enabled? If so disable the non desirable one when reconfigure. I'm not sure why they would be mixed.

According to "Language Support" in System Settings I do have two Languages options, which are the two Portuguese variants, and pt_BR it's on top. I tried as well to remove the language pack, unfortunately this removes both the variants.
