I want to be able to use the touchpad taps.

I installed XFCE in Debian, but the touchpad taps on the Macbook are It doesn't work. Please tell me how to make it work.

It's just tap that's not working? Under settings>>Mouse and Touchpad are the settings ok? Is it switch on? You said you just installed XFCE, what did you use before? Was it working then? What version of Debian are you using? Recently Debian uses libinput to operate these things. Normally they don't pose an issue. I think you can switch over to Synaptics though.

you need to edit the 40-libinput.conf (https://wiki.debian.org/LibinputTouchpad) or install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics to use the old synaptics driver
