Ctrl + Insert key and Shift + Insert key to work for copying and paste

How can we have Ctrl + Insert key and Shift + Insert key to work for copying and pasting from Clipboard respectively on xfce terminal, so it must be in state of NumLock is Off in order to correspond to being Insert key.

Why is it having ie. feeding and echoing numeric value instead, correspondingly to keyboard layout (usually, mostly is number 0) ?

while only if just NumLock is on then it will do such expected job which is an outright opposite to most applications' behavior ?

Re: Ctrl + Insert key and Shift + Insert key to work for copying and paste

Can you please provide some detailed information about your system:
1. The make and model of your computer
2. The version of Xfce that you are using:

xfce4-about -V

Are you saying that Ctrl+Insert (copy) and Shift+Insert (paste) do not work on xfce4-terminal if numlock is set?

Why is it having ie. feeding and echoing numeric value instead, correspondingly to keyboard layout (usually, mostly is number 0) ?

I'm sorry but I do not understand this.

So it does work with numlock on? Which other applications are you referring to?

Xfce Terminal; Terminal Emulator

On Manjaro v20... Note on its mate DE it has option to get solved by (sort of):
Keyboard -> accesibilty -> Miscellaneous -> behave like Windows

Does running this command in a terminal window:

setxkbmap -option numpad:microsoft

...fix the issue?
