Every time I restart my computer I get a new network icon on my Notification Area Plug-in from the main Panel...I have attached also a print screen...
Any ideas?
I am running XFCE 4.14 on siduction. It might be a bug but I will need a bit of instructions where to look to give further details...
here also a pic: I have 5 times restarted my PC => I have 5 Network icons in Panel...
Thanks!

Check Settings>>Session and Startup>>Application Autostart. Is there multiple network entries listed?

nope... or not that I can see... here is how it looks:

I only see one there so something is spawning multiple instances. Try:
ps aux | grep Network

nothing suspicious...

I believe the process name is nm-applet. Does that have multiple running instances?
Also, which plugin is that showing up on (Notification Area, Indicator plugin, Status Notifier plugin)?

Try unchecking nm-tray in autostart applications. Network Manager should start the tray applet on it own. I don't have in my autostart.

Yup, just uncheck it and restart to test.

I have deleted all instances from the current session and restarted. In tray there is only one icon, but in the current session there is something fishy....
I will restart once more. Hold my beer, I am going under...

Edit: after restart there is only one icon in tray. Problem seem to be solved.
Thanks for the support!

Great! The only thing I may add is to make sure you don't have save session checked when you log out.

why?

If it is running multiple instances when you logged out then when you log in they will all be restarted. A fresh session would prevent that.
Did it work properly after restarting?

yes, it worked properly after restarting.
Do you mean that I should only now (one time) uncheck the save session in order to start clean? and than to check it back?
I like this feature when the session is saved and restored... especially on siduction where here and there restarts are required

If everything is working fine leave it alone.
