Turn off sound when deleting files with Thunar

Is there a way to stop the sound whenever a file is deleted with Thunar?

Thanks.

Re: Turn off sound when deleting files with Thunar

Is it a sound or a beep?

If its a sound, do you have sound effects enabled and if so, which sound theme are you using? There should be a corresponding sound event file that you could rename/delete.

Re: Turn off sound when deleting files with Thunar

I have sound theme set to no sounds.

I only hear the sound when I delete using the delete key.

When I delete using Thunar, there is no sound.

I found the answer.

Sound Preferences

Set alert volume to mute.
