Hi,
with Thunar, the autofs network shares are never released. Then Thunar is often hanging or freezing on network interrupts. Thunar is taking long at startup and with Thunar running my backup drives are never getting to low power sleep mode spinning down...
All these issues seem to be related to some of my bookmarks. After Thunar starts, I see in the logs that all autofs network shares are going to be mounted which is not required until I use the related bookmarks or paths.
I filed some ticket in the past:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16687
There are more related tickets:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15789
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12467
What do you think? Is this still a bug and worth to raise the existing tickets again on the new gitlab instance?
Best regards.

Out of curiosity, what version of Thunar are you running?
The old bug report was migrated to the new gitlab instance. See https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/129.

Perhaps post in that gitlab issue report noted above.
I use autofs as well, but I don't bookmark the individual mount directories but rather the parent directory that holds the mounts. Doing so, I don't run into the issue.
